The Islamic Center of South Carolina (Masjid Al-Salaam) grew from small rented spaces in the late 1990s to the current purpose-built masjid near downtown, completed around 2013. It offers a fixed Jumu’ah time (around 1:30 pm) and posts detailed prayer times on its website. The masjid uses an official WhatsApp group to share salat times, Ramadan and Eid announcements, fundraising updates and program notices. The founders also established a dedicated Muslim cemetery in Rock Hill in 2017, which the community uses for Islamic burials. At times the masjid organizes outreach and open-house style activities for non-Muslim neighbors, and during Ramadan it hosts iftar gatherings for the community.
