    Izas samaaa'un fatarat

    Apabila langit terbelah;

  2. 2

    وَإِذَا ٱلْكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتْ

    Wa izal kawaakibun tasarat

    Dan apabila bintang-bintang gugur bertaburan;

  3. 3

    وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ

    Wa izal bihaaru fujjirat

    Dan apabila lautan pecah bercampur-baur;

  4. 4

    Wa izal qubooru bu'sirat

    Dan apabila kubur-kubur dibongkarkan, -

  5. 5

    Yaaa ayyuhal insaaanu maa gharraka bi Rabbikal kareem

    Wahai manusia! -

  7. 7

    ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ

    Allazee khalaqaka fasaw waaka fa'adalak

    Tuhan yang telah mencipta dan mengatur kejadianmu, lalu menjadikan anggotamu sesuai (dengan tujuan yang kerananya anggota itu diadakan), serta menjadikan (binaan tubuh badanmu) sama padan dengan kekuatannya;

  8. 8

    Feee ayye sooratim maa shaaa'a rakkabak

    Kalla bal tukazziboona bid deen

  11. 11

    كِرَامًۭا كَٰتِبِينَ

    Kiraaman kaatibeen

    (Mereka adalah makhluk) yang mulia (di sisi Allah), lagi ditugaskan menulis (amal-amal kamu);

  12. 12

    Ya'lamoona ma taf'aloon

    Mereka mengetahui apa yang kamu lakukan.

  13. 13

    إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍۢ

    Innal abraara lafee na'eem

    (Gunanya catitan malaikat-malaikat itu ialah: untuk menyatakan siapa yang berbakti dan siapa yang bersalah) - kerana sesungguhnya: orang-orang yang berbakti (dengan taat dan amal kebajikan), tetap berada dalam Syurga yang penuh nikmat;

  14. 14

    Yaslawnahaa Yawmad Deen

    Summa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud Deen

    Yawma laa tamliku nafsul linafsin shai'anw walamru yawma'izil lillaah

1. Introduction to Surah Al-Infitar

Surah Al-Infitar is the 82nd chapter of the Holy Quran and stands as an incredibly moving, visually dramatic wake-up call to human consciousness. The title Al-Infitar translates directly to "The Cleaving Asunder," "The Bursting Open," or "The Shattering." This terminology introduces a vivid description of the cosmic transformation that will take place when the physical universe as we know it draws to a close, breaking apart to make way for the ultimate reality of divine judgment.

Revealed during the early Meccan period, this impactful chapter was sent to break through the spiritual apathy, arrogance, and materialism of the Quraysh elite. It explicitly targets the human habit of taking God’s continuous blessings, physical perfection, and structural safety for granted. By highlighting the sudden, awesome dismantling of the heavens and earth, the text challenges the reader to look past the fleeting illusions of worldly life and prepare for an inevitable day of absolute individual accountability.

2. Key Themes and Lessons of Surah Al-Infitar

Delving deeply into the text reveals that Surah Al-Infitar masterfully connects massive celestial movements with the intimate details of our daily behavior and choices. The core themes highlighted in this chapter include:

  • The Cleaving of the Cosmos: The Surah opens with terrifying, magnificent imagery—the sky splitting wide open, the stars scattering across space, the oceans bursting their boundaries, and the graves turning upside down.
  • The Question of Human Ingratitude: Verse 6 presents a profound, piercing question to mankind: "O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous?" It rebukes people for using God's extreme kindness as an excuse to neglect their responsibilities.
  • The Noble Recording Angels (Kiraman Katibin): The text reveals that humans are never completely alone or unobserved. High-ranking, noble angels accompany us constantly, accurately documenting every single word spoken, action taken, and intention harbored.
  • The Separation of Destinies: The final section draws a clear, uncompromising line between the ultimate outcomes of the righteous (Al-Abrar), who will live in eternal delight, and the wicked (Al-Fujjar), who will enter a blazing fire.
  • The Day of Absolute Sovereignty: The chapter closes by declaring that on the Final Day, no soul will possess an ounce of power to aid or protect another soul, as all command and authority will belong strictly to Allah.
